A little over one year ago, Ron rolled into Donkey Sunrise like any other adventure rider, making his way to Ushuaia. But something about this place felt like home to him. Maybe it was the vibe, the people, or the endless trails waiting to be explored— whatever it was, he made a promise: “I’ll be back.”
Fast forward 12 months, and guess what? Ron’s back. 🎉 Not just to visit. But to live as one of our first long-stay guests. We've helped him getting his pension visa, enabling him to live his best life in Colombia: waking up with the sound of the birds, working on bikes when he wants to, and teach other travelers "a thing or two" so they can get the best out of their travels in Colombia and further.
Who is Ron?
Ron’s a retired mechanic, a lifelong moto traveler, and a trail-riding wizard. Now officially part of our Donkey Sunrise family, he has: 🛠 Helped us set up our pro workshop, so travelers can keep their bikes road-ready. 🏍 Trained Mike, our volunteer, to improve his riding skills
